Optical Slits
Very popular in spectrometry.
Spectometer Bundles
Lines of fibers are the equivalent of the spectrometer slit, so many time a spectrometer slit is not necessary. In fact, by blocking one row of fibers, the effective resolution of the spectrometer is increased = an active slit!
Masks
We have masks made to precisely locate fibers. Often used with lenslet arrays.
